The importance of massage

Posted on 22 August, 2019 at 2:10

I am a Remedial and soft tissue sports therapist ,reiki master ,access bars practitioner ,I love being a massage therapist and I love the satisfaction of making people painfree. When they are painfree people are happy and they can do the things they want in life.Anxiety and depression are kept in control.

When people can look after themselves they feel more in control of there health. Not having to "pop pills"feels great.

The benefits of massage:

One of the immediate benefits of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. This occurs because massage prompts the release of endorphins – the brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that produce feelings of wellbeing.

Levels of stress hormones, such as adrenalin, cortisol and norepinephrine, are also reduced. Studies indicate that high levels of stress hormones impair the immune system.

Some of the physical benefits of massage and myotherapy include:

reduced muscle tension

improved circulation

stimulation of the lymphatic system

reduction of stress hormones

relaxation

increased joint mobility and flexibility

improved skin tone

improved recovery of soft tissue injuries

heightened mental alertness

reduced anxiety and depression.
